When and how do I configure 3D Secure?

You will be asked to configure 3D Secure (3DS) when you make your first purchase on an e-commerce website which uses that system. Just follow the instructions on your screen.

Once you have input your card’s information, you will automatically be taken to a configuration window affiliated with our e-banking partner Prepaid Financial Services and will just need to follow the instructions on the screen.

Step 1 - Enter your personal information

  • Mobile number:
    • Choose your country code (e.g. “0044(UK)” for the United Kingdom)
    • Enter your phone number without the first “0”
  • First and last names as they appear on your card (removing any dashes)
  • Date of birth
  • Postcode for your place of residence

Step 2 - Choose your 3D Secure password

Your password must contain 6 to 15 characters, including at least one letter, one number and one special character (! “ .).

You can skip this procedure up to three times. After that, your VeraCash payment card will be blocked temporarily.

We recommend that you memorize this password, as you will be asked for it when you make future online purchases.

Why can’t I configure 3D Secure?

There are several possible reasons why you might encounter a problem setting up 3D Secure (3DS):

  • If your first name or last name contains a dash, please replace it with a space;
  • If you have changed mobile phones without letting us know (1);
  • If you did not input the correct format for your mobile phone;
  • If you made a mistake in your choice of country code;
  • If you have moved without letting us know (2);
  • If your password does not meet all the requirements.

(1),(2) Please contact Customer Service to update your VeraCash account.

What do I do if I am unable to make a purchase via 3D Secure (3DS)?

First and foremost, make sure you entered the right password and input the right character in the right boxes.

If you are still unable to complete your purchase, we recommend resetting your password by clicking on “Forgot your password?”.
